Just images

2014 wasn't really a fruitful year for my "street" photography but the few chances I got to venture out I managed to get some interesting images - so I think! If you happen to like any of my "2014 Project" images please take the time to let me know.

Great photos as always John!

I see that some of the images were taken with the x100s. Also some others were taken with the 23mm on the X-T1. Do you use the x100s on your paid shoots like weddings and events ? I know I'm not being original, but for now I kept my Canon DSRL, and have just one Fuji lens (the 35mm) withg the X-T1. I'd love to have the 23mm, but I saw the x100s for less than $800....
I know in the future I'll have the 23mm but for now that the X-T1 is my official second camera, is a dilemma. My second Fuji step should be the XF23mm or the X100s/t ?

The big dilemma; X100 series camera or 23mm. I went through it just recently and decided to replace my X100s with a 2nd body and the 23mm. I will have more on the subject soon. Its not an easy one to answer and don't rely on my recent decision because if I had the spare funds, I would definitely have both the 23mm and the newer X100t.

Thank you John! I'd love to hear more about that. I know that I'm not the only one asking for that. As I have one foot on DSLR and the other on the X-T1 and always work with two bodies, I think I'll wait. I read they might release a new X-PRO camera and we'll see if that look more to an X-PRO1 or to the X-T1.

Congratulation Mr. Caz,

excellent and great photos in black&white. I like most the picture with the barber. I've never get this quality with my conversion to b&w. Which conversion-methode do you use oder prefer? LAB-convertion in photoshop? Adjustment layers with levels and curves and mask tool? Plugins like Tonality..? In camera conversion?

best regards and wishes to Greece

Gabor

Thanks Gabor, glad you like my work. My B&W workflow is as follows: Select and corrected images are exported from Lightroom to Photoshop and from there I use Nik Silver Efex Pro.

Cheers
John

Great shots, did you use manual focus or auto focus?
