NOTE: Updated 13/05/2014
I am now in a position where I can totally rely on the X-T1 for any assignment shooting people. The AF works quite nicely even under low light levels such as indoors under single bulb lighting conditions. The incredible EVF gives you an idea of what you are about to shoot since it’s a WYSIWYG affair. The auto ISO works as expected and the auto WB in most cases is excellent though it has some issues with consistency and the optics are second to none – boy am I one happy camper!
No, it’s not faulty, it’s just the way it is. This may change with a future firmware update though I’m not sure if it can be done without affecting AF performance.
What you need to do is have faith. So once the action starts, just hit the shutter all the way and follow the action. You will be amazed at the results, since most frames will be in focus! (NOTE: For this to happen, you may need to set up your camera as I have described here)
